ITAR tutors provide subject specific tutoring to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Tutors must be qualified, either through formal education or relevant experience. Tutors will have taken the same course and passed it with a 6 or above, or be able to demonstrate expertise in the topic of the course. Tutors include undergraduate students, postgraduate students and professionals.

ITAR students are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who receive subject specific one on one or small group tutoring from a qualified tutor. Students must be enrolled in a course at UQ and can be undergraduate, postgraduate, or enrolled in a tertiary preparation program at UQ College. There is no cost for students to participate in the ITAR program.
