The program connects you and a group of other new students in similar or the same studies with a student mentor. In Orientation Week, your mentors will introduce themselves to you, organise a group meet up, and help you out during the first five weeks of uni. Like you, your mentor is also a UQ student but they've been here a bit longer, so they have all the inside tips that you need!

We've been told the best part about Get Set is that you get what you want out of it. Your mentors can help you settle in by taking you on a campus tour, giving you lots of inside tips on what to do in lectures and tutorials etc. Often groups also explore various O' Week events and activities together, discover the best coffee and burgers on campus, and even explore Brisbane.
