My Student Guide


Welcome to UQ! My Student Guide connects new UQ students with experienced student mentors before Orientation.

Choose a Student Guide to:

This program is for students starting at UQ in Semester 1, 2026 and runs for one week only during these dates:
 

  • Round 1: Monday 8 – Sunday 14 December 2025
  • Round 2: Monday 19 – Sunday 25 January 2026


How it works


  1. Click “Join now” and sign up using your new UQ email. Log in as a ‘New Student’.
  2. Click “Get Started” to see Student Guides recommended for you by our matching algorithm.
  3. Want more options? Click “Browse Student Guides” to explore all profiles and choose the one that suits you best.
  4. Click ‘Connect’! You can ask a question or just say hi! Within 24 hours, your chosen Student Guide will be in touch.
